We've responded to the Honolulu American Institute
of Architects' contention that at-grade streetcars
are a better solution for the city than elevated light
rail. Per our new page for Honolulu, PRT IS A
BETTER SOLUTION.
Vectus announces MOU for 40 vehicle, three mile

The Morgantown PRT system at the University of
West Virginia has been upgraded and is back in
regular service. This system has delivered over 23
million injury-free miles and carried over 63 million
riders since the 1970s.
Having said PRT is "ready for primetime", the City of
San Jose, CA has released the first of two RFPs to
research and evaluate an Automated Transit
Network to connect Mineta International Airport with
their local LRT and BART commuter rail systems.
ULTra enters operational testing at Heathrow. The
21-vehicle $45 million system should be open to the
public in the Spring of 2010. 400 vehicles are said
to be planned.

We spoke to the Orangeline Development Authority
Board about PRT in the Pacific Electric Right-of-Way
and how it would be a complementary connector
system to the elevated high-speed system they
wish to operate from Los Angeles into Orange
County. We also introduced our colleagues from
