is a completely electrified solution for today's
environmental issues.

We
spoke to the Orangeline Development Authority
Board about
PRT in the Pacific Electric Right-of-Way
and how it would be a complementary connector
system to the elevated high-speed system they
wish to operate from Los Angeles into Orange
County.  We also introduced our colleagues from
Tubular Rail to the Board members and Chair.

We're presenting
this treatment to the Los

is the most viable alternative for a transit system in
the Pacific Electric Right-of-Way.

We've recently answered an RFQ for four Orange
County cities in response to the OC Transportation
Authority's
Go Local program.  Details available on
request.

We're
quoted in the 4/6/08 Los Angeles Times.

PRT Strategies successfully presented
this
treatment for Personal Rapid Transit in the LA/OC
Counties
Pacific Electric Right-of-Way to the
Gateway Cities Council of Governments --
suggesting that PRT is a better alternative than the
failing Orangeline maglev (03/05/08).  Orangeline
has been rejected for use in the PE RoW by OCTA
and removed from SCAG's Constrained Regional
Transportation Plan.

For our friends at the Airport Working Group in

PRT Strategies presentation to the Transportation
Planning & Operations Committee of the
Orange
County Transportation Authority on July 12, 2007
was very well received.
Three potential
applications in Orange County were presented
where light rail and other mass transit forms simply
aren't practical and certainly aren't cost effective.
There is nothing more
difficult to plan, more
doubtful of success
nor more dangerous
to manage than the
creation of a new
system.   For the
initiator has the
enmity of all who
profit by the
preservation of the
old institution and
merely lukewarm
defenders in those
who would gain by
the new one.
